We continue our efforts to restore our system and to get the power back on for everyone in our service area.
Here is our service update for Thursday, June 22.
At this time, we can confirm we do have multiple power outages affecting approximately 8101 members.
These power outages include:
Groesbeck and surrounding areas- Transmission and distribution crews have back fed the line to our Oletha substation. Crews will continue to make repairs at substation throughout the night.
Freestone/Donie areas- Multiple lines down with one crew assigned.
Freestone/Teague areas- Power has been restored to the feeder. A few single outages remain. One crew is assigned to this area.
Freestone/Dew- Transmission line is down on our distribution line. Some of this area will be out until the transmission line is repaired.
Hilltop Lakes/Marquez- Multiple lines down with one crew assigned.
Jewett/Centerville areas- 2 crews assigned.
Mt. Calm/Coolidge area- 1 crew assigned.
Please be aware that sometimes during complicated repairs, you may have your lights come back on, only to have them go off again because we discover another problem that must be fixed.
Residents and businesses in our service area could be without electricity for up to 24 hours.
We apologize for any inconvenience this event may have caused.
While we feel we are making good progress, we will not be completely satisfied until everyone has their lights on.
Although we post service updates to social media, we do not monitor social media for reports of outages. All outages must be reported by phone or by text.
To report an outage, you can call 1-800-443-9462 or text “OUT” to 1-800-443-9462.
