Please complete the following steps to ensure your application is processed efficiently:
- Complete all fields on the DG Application and DG Contract
- Sign both documents where indicated
- Provide a one-line diagram of your system.
- Submit a copy of your entire homeowners or personal liability insurance policy, with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence. The physical address of the solar installation must be included in the insurance documentation to be accepted.
- Pay the $100 application fee. Payment may be made with check or debit/credit card in office or via direct phone call to Erica at 979-828-6413. Debit/Credit card processing fee of 2.95% will apply.
All documents must be submitted in full before the application will proceed.
When construction of your system is complete you are ready to move forward with next steps.
- Email dg@navasotavalley.com or call Erica at 979-828-6413 to schedule an inspection.
- Pay the $500 inspection fee. Payment may be made with check or debit/credit card in office or via direct phone call to Erica at 979-828-6413. Debit/Credit card processing fee of 2.95% will apply.
- Upon successful completion of the inspection, a meter programmed for forward and reverse readings will be installed and a Permission to Operate (PTO) letter will be issued.
Please note:
- The Distributed Generation rate is an avoided cost rate, meaning the Cooperative pays Members for all energy produced at a wholesale rate.
- This rate is calculated monthly based on the Cooperative’s total energy and fuel cost divided by the total kilowatt-hours purchased from its wholesale power provider, as reflected on the most recent wholesale power bill.
