Whether by phone or internet, their goal is to present accurate, well-organized and easy-to-find information from state and local health and human services programs. 2-1-1 Texas is a free, anonymous social service hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Texas Utility Help can give financial assistance to qualified Texas homeowners and renters with low income. Eligible expenses include electricity, gas, propane, water, and wastewater.

CEAP- Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program

CAEP is a utility assistance program. CAEP is designed to assist low-income households in meeting their immediate needs and to encourage consumers to control energy costs for years to come through energy education.

The Brazos Electric Ratepayer Hardship Fund assistance program provides bill credits to eligible low-income residential cooperative members to cover the costs incurred during Winter Storm Uri. This is labeled as SCRF on your electric bill.

The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) utility assistance program is part of the Energy/Housing programs. The service delivery area includes Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Montgomery, Robertson, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties.

Services Provided: The Bill Pay Program provides with electric, natural gas, or propane bills. Households must meet specific programs criteria established by state and federal regulations. All applications will be taken by appointment only.

Community Resource Center of Robertson County

The goal of the Community Resource Center of Robertson County (CRCRobCo) is to help Robertson County residents access the resources, programs and services needed to address problems in their households.

CRCRobCo partners with a vast network of agencies who provide a broad range of services.

Eligibility requirements: Applicant must be a resident of Bosque, Ellis, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, McLennan, or Navarro counties. Household must be at or below 150% of the Federal Income Poverty Guidelines.

McLennan County Benevolence Ministry

Care Center Services is the McLennan Benevolence Ministry. They offer several emergency services for qualified residents, as funding allows. There may be grants for paying Atmos Gas or electric bills, or even water expenses. Other support may be funds for utilities, free food, diapers, or vouchers for medications or gasoline as well.

Tri-Cities Ministries is an interdenominational network of churches who partner together in Christian love to care for their communities. With their Journey Together Program, they tangibly help in 4 ways: with bills for rent or utilities, with food bags, with hygiene item bags, and with gas cards or bus passes. Tri-Cities Ministries provides emergency assistance to members of the 76705 and 76640 zip codes.
