ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch from June 15-21 due to forecasted higher temperatures and anticipated higher electrical demand. Grid conditions are expected to be normal during this time and ERCOT anticipates having adequate supply to meet demand.

The Weather Watch is part of ERCOT’s new notification system called Texas Advisory and Notification Systems (TXANS). The purpose of TXANS is to keep the public informed on grid conditions and significant weather conditions and communicate about any public action that might be needed during higher demand periods.
