ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch from August 6-7 due to forecasted higher temperatures, anticipated higher electrical demand, and the potential for lower reserves. Grid conditions are expected to be normal and can be monitored here.

The Weather Watch is part of ERCOT’s notification system called Texas Advisory and Notification Systems (TXANS). The purpose of TXANS is to keep the public informed on grid conditions, significant weather conditions and communicate about any public action that might be needed during higher demand periods.
