Scholarship

Once again the Board of Directors of Navasota Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. have approved awarding a scholarship of $2,000 to a deserving youth that will graduate from your high school this year or any of the previous four years.

To be eligible for consideration, the student’s parents must be members and whose permanent residence is with NVEC.  Please call this office for assistance as to who is on our system.  Grade criteria will be left up to the discretion of the school official making the selection.

Checks for $1,000.00 per semester will be made payable to the student and the school where they will be attending.  The checks will be presented in August 2013 at a Scholarship Dinner – recipients must attend.  The college must have full accreditation from the state they are attending.  The second semester award will be contingent upon proof of a minimum of 12 semester hours and a minimum 2.5 GPA (copy of fall semester grades will be necessary).  PLEASE MAKE RECIPIENT REALIZE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES!

All selections will be made by the counselors or principals of each school.  Please return your scholar’s name, parent’s name, address and the name of the college by May 31, 2013.
